Dragon Cave
Location: The Dragon Cave is located about halfway between Yangshuo and Moon Hill along the main road.
Features: The stalactites and stalagmites are not identified as individuals within the side of the cave, but more like an entire scene. Each scene seemed to have an appropriate name, indicated on a nearby plaque. Old Pine Forest was aptly named, with the top part of the stalactites curling in a way that resembled foliage. Low bumpy little stalagmites formed patterns very much like terraced rice fields. You then can see a large cavern called Mirage. This particular setting is the best of all. The crystal clear pool of water mirrors the formations, and colors lights perfectly. There is no movement in the water, which in certain areas gives the illusion of the water being much deeper.
Travel Guide: Tour guides are continually available, regardless of how many people are in your party, and are included in the entrance fee. These caves are magnificent, however with colored light and big paths seem almost a little bit tacky for western eyes.
