Qingming Festival- Tomb-sweeping Day
On Qingming Festival, people get together for sweeping tombs and offering sacrifices. After that, people offer flowers and favorites of the dead, then burn incense and paper money. The customs have been simplified a lot today. Nowadays, people also enjoy hope of spring on Qingming Festival. As it is a time when the sun shines brightly, the trees and grass become green and nature is lively again.
It’s time to travel as well during this period, also, people love to fly kites.Usually, people can do it in the day-time as well as in the night. With a string of little lanterns tied onto the kite, the thread look like shining stars, hence its name "god's lanterns."
This festival also indicates farm work of a year, the temperature & rainfall will go up after it, good for spring plowing and sowing, as well as planting tree for the survival rate of saplings is high and trees grow fast later
Yangshuo people also do the same celebrations as most of Chinese people, but as a beautiful fairyland in the world, Qingming Festival in yangshuo could be treated as one countryside tour as well.
